It is with great pleasure and
heartfelt gratitude that I thank everyone who attended our Caring Hands Gala
to celebrate RCI’s 50th anniversary of providing programs and services to
people with disabilities in our community!
Over
the years, RCI has grown from being the first center in Albuquerque to treat
children with polio and cerebral palsy, to a multi-disciplinary facility that
today, offers state-of-the-art programs and services across all age groups.
RCI
could not have achieved this major milestone without your financial support
and commitment to our mission: “to improve the abilities, interests and
choices of children and adults with physical, developmental or behavioral
challenges toward achieving their highest levels of self-sufficiency.” There
is an old adage that one individual can make the impossible happen, but two
people can make miracles. With your support and commitment, RCI has had the
privilege and honor of providing stellar programs and services to people with
disabilities throughout the past 50 years. As we embark on our next 50 years
of serving and meeting the needs of these individuals, we hope to continue to
make miracles happen as they learn to roll over for the first time, learn how
to read and write, or walk through the door that leads them to their first
day on the job.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, and more especially,
the individuals we serve at RCI, I would like to express my sincere
appreciation to all of you who honored us with your presence and joined us in
